You are planning the perfect Caribbean island vacation. With so many options, it can definitly be hard to determine which Caribbean destination to visit... have you considered traveling to the Caribbean paradise of Antigua and Barbuda?

Antigua and Barbuda is a tropical paradise located in the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean, with cool trade winds providing air conditioning from the west.

Antigua weather remains warm and dry throughout the year with very little seasonal temperature variation. The coolest months there are in January and February when the average high temperature is right around 81°F (27.2°C) and the average low temperatures are around 73°F (22.8°C).

In contrast, the hottest months in the Antigua weather forecast are July and August when average temperatures can reach around 87°F (30.6°C) and the average lows (if we dare call them lows) are around 79°F (26.1°C).

Weather in Antigua and Barbuda sees approximately 45 inches of rain a year on average, with the period lasting from August to November being the wettest season. During the rainy season, they average about 8 days of rain each month. Historically the worst months for rain there are October and November where they average about 4.5 inches of rain each month (combined, this is 20% of the annual average rainfall). Never fear, however, when it does rain it is normally not for long, as they are usually just brief passing showers that last around 5 to 15 minutes.

The driest time of the year on these Caribbean islands is from February to April when they will average only about 3 days of rain each month, making Antigua and Barbuda are the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean islands with relatively low humidity all year around.

The Antigua weather forecast sees hurricane season from June through November; however rare hurricanes have formed in this area in December. Statistics show that 90% of all hurricanes in the Caribbean islands happen in September. The last hurricane hit the area in 1999 and in the past 50 years only 6 hurricanes have interrupted the weather forecast in Antigua and Barbuda. So the chances of one happening while on vacation there are slim.

The weather in Antigua and Barbuda make anytime of year a good time to visit. While mid December to mid April are peak tourist season, July through September are also considered wonderful times to visit these beautiful Caribbean islands.
